I’m sharing the results of a pregnancy survey I created when I was expecting Grace. 34 women shared their thoughts and now I want to hear yours! The most popular answers are listed first and include the number of people who responded with that answer.
You can catch up on the entire series here: Part 1 (books & maternity clothes), Part 2 (where to register & buy furniture), Part 3 (diapers), Part 4 (bottles & formula), Part 5 (regrets & raspberry tea), Part 6 (hospital bag & visitors).
What is your favorite diaper brand? From what I have heard cheapest isn’t best when it comes to diapers. What are your thoughts?
- Pampers – 20
- Luvs – 12
- Huggies – 9
- Target Brand – 4
- Pampers Swaddlers (from birth to 6 months) – 4
- Walmart Brand
- BJs Brand
- TIP: Cheap diapers caused diaper rash.
- TIP: Don’t ever use the cheap diapers over night!
- TIP: Pampers don’t fit chubby babies.
- TIP: The fragrance in Pampers irritated my baby.
Rebekah’s Thoughts: I thought about using cloth diapers, but it just wasn’t my thing. I almost exclusively have used Pampers since I can get them at a discount through a family member. However, I really liked Huggies when Grace had that super runny breast milk poop. They have a “guard” in the back that helped keep the poop from shooting up her back.
Recently, I bought a pack of Huggies for Grace after using only Pampers for over a year. Grace is not impressed with the change. No matter what brand of diapers you use, don’t be surprised if your toddler notices a difference between brands.
How much do you spend per month on diapers?
- Don’t Know – 6
- $30 – 5
- $40-$80 – 5
- $30-$50 – 5
- $20 for 1 year old – 2
- $40 for a 2 year old
- $20 for wipes
- Buy at BJs for $35 a box (now only uses 1 box a month) – 2
- TIP: Start buying them now!
- TIP: Buy in bulk when you find a good deal.
Rebekah’s Thoughts: This question will vary greatly depending on how old your child is and if you use any cloth diapers. Right now we are spending about $30 a month for our 2.5 year old. My biggest tip is to figure out how much you are paying per diaper. Then you’ll know when you are getting a good deal or not. I always try to spend $0.15 or less per diaper.
How would you answer these questions?
