5 Easy Clever and Cheap Neighbor Gift Ideas

This post contains affiliate links.

Christmas is a great time to spread around some neighborly love.  Last year we had fun handing out bottles of Sprite with the message “May your Christmas be Merry & Sprite!”

5 Easy, Clever, and Cheap Neighbor Gift Ideas

I got the idea and adorable gift tag printable from My Digital Creations.  (This printable is no longer available on her blog.)  I purchased the pop on sale for $1 a bottle, which made this an extremely cheap neighbor gift.

4 More Easy, Clever, and Cheap Neighbor Gift Ideas:

You're Getting MUFFIN for Christmas Neighbor Gift

1) Janet, from Today’s Fabulous Finds, shared this clever idea to give a box of muffin mix along with the note “You’re getting MUFFIN for Christmas.”  Doesn’t that just make you smile??  Be sure to read all of Janet’s suggestions in her post 15 Gift Ideas Under $2.

2) I love Sara’s gift idea from Bateman Buzz.  She saved and cleaned up pasta sauce jars throughout the year, filled them with gum balls, and included the message, “Blowing Christmas Wishes Your Way.”

Wishing You Merri-MINT & Joy This Christmas Neighbor Gift

3) Erin, from In Between Laundry, put together this great tutorial on how to transform mints into the perfect neighbor gift.  The attached note says, “Wishing You Merri-MINT & Joy This Christmas.”  So cute!

Wishing You Peace, Joy & Hope - No SOAP! Neighbor Gift

4) This simple hand soap looks so classy!  Katie, from Smile Like You Mean It, transformed regular Equate brand soap into this beautiful neighbor gift.  Her attached message reads, “Wishing you a holiday season full of peace, joy, and hope soap!”

This year we’ll be handing out homemade jam that I prepared this summer, but I will certainly be keeping these neighbor gift ideas in mind for next year!

I make various slices and then give each neighbour some on a paper doily with clear celephane or a christmas pattern celephane. I love the ideas on here.
Another idea is make gingerbread biscuits, decorate them then wrap in celephane with ribbon around the top.

Great post! I think that finding the right gift can sometimes be difficult. What I think is that people tend to like unique gifts that are hard to find and not sold in stores. People like the gifts more this way since they cannot be replaced. I have been buying a few items from http://www.thinkfuntoys.com and giving it away to my friends and they all love it. They have a lot of stuff that are pretty cheap with free shipping and they deliver fast.

I just love the “Peace, joy and soap” tag. I purchased Bath and Body works liquid soap for each of my teachers at my Elementary School. Would you be able to share the tag with me as a word doc or pdf? I appreciate your creativity and thank you for the idea.

Lisa, sorry I didn’t see this in time to help you with your teacher gifts. I did not create the label for the soap, but if you click on the link included in number 4, there might be a PDF there that you can download.
