Introducing My Insane Goals For 2013 {link-up}

January 14, 2013 by Rebekah Hoffer 16 Comments

I’ve never liked setting goals, but something got into me in 2011.  I created a huge list of things I wanted to accomplish and called it my Insane Goals.  Each month I blogged about my accomplishments and disappointments.  After some positive feedback, I opened up my monthly posts to other bloggers so they could link-up their goals also.  It was fun and inspiring to read over those lists each month.  After a short break (because of Noah's birth) I have decided to start blogging about my goals again.  Ready, set, GO! My 2013 Insane Goals House Goals Organize & Declutter: office, Noah's closet, kitchen steps (a 2nd stairway we only … [Read more...]

Insane Goals: April 2012 Update {link-up}

May 1, 2012 by Rebekah Hoffer 7 Comments

My goals were all about getting ready with the baby's arrival being my deadline.  Here is how I did last month. April Accomplishments: 1.  The ultimate insane goal was to have this baby and that certainly happened!  Along with that came all the other necessary things that needed to be done: packing hospital bags, installing the car seat, etc. 2.  I decided not to make busy bags for Grace, but my mom stepped in and made some.  I love it when other people get my goals done for me. 3.  My freezer is packed for of meals!  My mother-in-law was a huge help with that.  She made a ton of stuff for us.  Plus I used batch cooking as a way … [Read more...]

Insane Goals

Baby number two is coming in April and my goals are all about getting ready with the baby's arrival being my deadline.  Here is how I did last month. March Accomplishments: 1.  I started two photo books this last month!  They aren't finished, but this is still a huge improvement. 2.  We successfully moved Grace into her new room.  The transition went much better than expected.  It has gone so well, that I've decided to not make a nightlight for her room.  We never keep a light on while she is sleeping, but I would use it to check on her before I go to bed.  She hasn't needed to be checked on.  All of her "move into new room goals" are … [Read more...]

Insane Goals: February 2012 Update {link-up}

Baby number two is coming in April and my goals are all about getting ready with the baby's arrival being my deadline.  Here is how I did last month. February Accomplishments: 1.  Grace's "big girl room" is really coming together!  We decided not to paint the room so we could save money and time.  I'm still hoping to find some wall decals.  I found the perfect shade of purple curtains for the room.  They are actually a shower curtain.  My mom is going to use her sewing skills to dress them up a bit, but for now they are working perfectly! 2.  We are right on track for moving Grace to her new room this weekend or next weekend.  Last month … [Read more...]

Insane Goals: January 2012 Update {link-up}

Baby number two is coming in April and my goals are all about getting ready with the baby's arrival being my deadline.  Here is how I did last month. January Accomplishments: 1.  I took one picture every hour for one day for the 2nd Annual "A Day in the Life of..." Link-up.  The link-up will be hosted this next Monday (Feb. 6) and I can't wait!    2.  We met all of our family fun goals this month!  Nate & I had a date night, we took Grace to the play house (pic above), and we used our local hotel night gift card.  Doesn't she look tiny in that king size bed? 3.  I read Natural Childbirth The Bradley Way and loved it.  Well, as … [Read more...]

Introducing My Insane Goals for 2012 {link-up}

Insane Goals

I've never liked setting goals, but something got into me last year.  I created a huge list of things I wanted to accomplish in 2011 and called it my Insane Goals.  Each month I blogged about my accomplishments and disappointments.  After some positive feedback, I opened up my monthly posts to other bloggers so they could link-up their goals also.  It has been fun and inspiring to read over those lists each month. Closing Thoughts on My 2011 Insane Goals: In November I predicted that I wouldn't accomplish anything new on my list and I was right!  That is why I'm sharing closing thoughts instead of my usual list of accomplishments and … [Read more...]
