I seriously debated whether or not I should post this. This is gross. Will my readers be turned off? Will I loose subscribers? The tag line for Simply Rebekah is "Frugal, Green & Life in Between." Honey, this post is 100% about Life in Between right now! You've been warned. Last night as I got ready to go to bed, I checked in on sleeping Grace. As soon as I opened the door I smelled it. It was sour. It was gross. It was vomit all over her sheets. And she was sleeping in it. About two hours earlier she woke up crying. It only lasted for a minute, two at the most. I didn't even go upstairs to check on her. She … [Read more...]
Time Management Wake Up Call for Parents!
I have read tons of articles about balancing time and priorities, but what my friend Sarah posted on Facebook the other day really made me stop and think. It is an important message to all parents. She focuses on her daily duties as a stay-at-home mom, but where she says cleaning and cooking she could just as easily be mentioning any task that competes with our children for our attention. Thank you, Sarah, for your willingness to share this on Simply Rebekah! I am beginning to learn that the days when I get 'nothing done' (except, you know, little things, like changing diapers, making meals, cleaning up messes, comforting a grumpy … [Read more...]
Why We Choose to Rear-Face Our Car Seat
We bought Grace her next car seat! I can't believe she is getting to the point where she is close to out growing her infant car seat. She is not a baby anymore!!! The site Disabled-World.com says that the average 3-year-old weighs between 30-33 pounds. So will I keep Grace rear facing until she is 3? I don't know. What I do know is that rear facing is the safest position for babies and toddlers. It is recommended that babies stay rear facing … [Read more...]

How could you!??! 2) *Rolling Eyes* So what? I always use them. 3) Huh? For those who don’t know, crib bumpers are a big crib no-no according to safety experts. Not using bumpers in your crib is just one of the safety precautions that the experts recommend when talking about SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) protection. There is no known cause of SIDS, but there are several things you can do to help lower the … [Read more...]
