Glaze Ingredients:

Sandwich Ingredients:

  • 15 Dinner Rolls
  • 15 Slices Colby Cheese
  • 15 Slices Ham
  • 2 cups Shredded Mozzarella (optional)

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 350. Combine all the ingredients of the glaze and set aside. I usually prepare the glaze in a small pan on the stove.

Assemble the sandwiches in a 9×13 baking dish or on a cookie sheet. Add one slice of ham and colby cheese to each bun. Add a sprinkle the mozzarella to each bun. Spoon some of the glaze onto the cheese, saving half for the top of the buns.

Put the tops of the buns on each sandwich, and add a spoonful of glaze to the top of each bun. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted.

Tips:

There are many different kinds of dinner rolls you can buy for these. Here in PA there is a brand called Martin’s Potato Rolls that is great for this recipe. The rolls come in a variety of sizes. The recipe is designed for a smaller size bun, but any size works (just adjust the ham and cheese accordingly).

If you have picky eaters in your house who don’t love the glaze (shame on them!), you can always leave the glaze off of a couple and bake them along with the rest of the sliders.
