Insane Goals: August 2013 Update

Insane Goals

I wrote a crazy-long list of goals for this year.  Here is how I did last month on my Insane Goals.

August Accomplishments:

1. We had a radon mitigation system installed!  Radon is a naturally occurring, harmful gas that comes into your house from the soil.  It is very common in PA.  When we bought the house our levels were low, but just over the recommended amount.  We finally got the system installed and now we are radon free!

2. I canned salsa and pickles.  I froze corn and applesauce.  The only thing I haven’t done yet is make jam.  I’m not sure if I’ll get to that one this year.

3. I added band aids and wet-wipes to our van’s emergency kit.

4. I sorted through and purged photos for January, February, March, April, and May!  I uploaded the good ones from January and February to Snapfish.

5. Our summer fun list this year rocked.  There are a few things that didn’t get crossed off, but I am pleased with our progress.  Now it is time to make a Festive Fall List!

August Disappointments:

1. Another month went by without me working on my book.  *sigh*  What is wrong with me?

2.  After all that work I did during the Just Clean Something Challenge, I went right back to slacking off again.

3. Nate and I skipped another month of date nights.  Not good.  Not good at all.

You can see my complete list of goals below.

  1. I can cross a goal off my list too!! We moved and swept under our bed! It was SO dust-bunny-y! Yay for black lines on the list!

    1. Oh no. I never even thought to add that to my list. Then again I did put spring cleaning on my list. Would that happen during spring cleaning? I obviously wouldn’t know since I never end up doing any spring cleaning!

  2. Wow that is an insane list! Congrats on getting stuff marked off. The radon thing was a huge one. I’ve noticed if I’m on a roll getting random things done… if I make a list to try to actually do things that need done.. I kind of just stop. It’s like, You can’t tell me what to do! .. but I’m saying it to myself.
