Insane Goals: June 2013 Update

I wrote a crazy-long list of goals for this year.  Here is how I did last month on my Insane Goals.

June Accomplishments:

Grace's Potty Training Dress

1. Grace is fully potty trained!!!  She still wears a pullup at night time, but 90% of the time she wakes up dry.  I am so thrilled.  As a reward for finally getting into the routine of going #2 in the potty, she got to pick out a dress.  It is so tacky.  It was the only one in the store I hated and of course it is the one she picked.  I can live it with though if it means I’m not washing poop out of underwear!

2. I’m slowly making progress on my digital photos.  I uploaded all of December 2012.  I still have some pictures from August 2012 to upload (why I skipped that month is a long boring story) and then I’ll be finished with 2012!

3. I had an amazing phone interview for my eBook.  It was so good that I’m having a hard time figuring out how to summarize it’s awesomeness.

4. Noah is in his new car seat.  He is still rear facing and we plan to keep him that way for awhile.

5. I made my Summer Fun List and we’ve been busy crossing things off.

6. I bought a bucket for my van’s emergency kit.  I still need to fill it with other essentials.

7. I finished Downton Abby.  *sigh*  So good….

June Disappointments:

1. We have been having major communication issues with our radon mitigation company because of people leaving the company.  I’ve been wanting to schedule the instillation for over a month now.  Today (July 1st) I finally was able to talk to someone on the phone and it looks like this might get resolved in July.  This has been a long time coming and I’m getting sick of it.

2. Nate and I didn’t have a date night this month.  We actually had the opposite of a date night because I took the kids to Ohio for a week to visit my parents and he stayed home.  We will just have to have 2 this month.  🙂

3. I added $8 to my library fine.  Oops.

4. Freezing strawberries wasn’t on my list.  I think I just forgot because I love having strawberries waiting in my freezer for smoothies all year.  I practically missed strawberry season and didn’t get to freeze any.  I’m sad.

5. It is June.  Can I just delete my spring cleaning goals off the list now???  🙁

You can see my complete list of goals below.

  1. I’m enjoying reading along with your goals! Half way through the year, and I STILL haven’t posted mine (or much of anything, really). We seem to be doing a lot of the same stuff. My daughter has pretty much been potty trained since winter, but she was still going #2 in the training potty (better than her underwear or a diaper, but worse than going in the big potty). I finally had to incentivize (my computer says that’s not a real word, whaaaat? Lol!) and told her I’d buy her a puzzle from the dollar store after she went on the big potty five times (I’m cheap, and I wanted to make sure it stuck before I paid up, ha!) Well, it worked! And it’s glorious. 😛

Oh, and I finished Downton Abbey too. (And totally agree with your sentiments!) And I too, struggle with the library fines. I had them paid off and now I’m back up to $1.60…boo! (Actually, if you wanna know the ugly truth, that’s on my husband’s card. My card and my son’s card both have excessive fines on them, and I’m working on paying those down little by little- they each have over $15 on them). 🙁

    Hooray for your successes!

    1. Becky!! My long lost twin has been found!! Haha!

Thanks for your encouragement and for joining in my sorrow.

  2. Congrats on the potty training! I’m working on compiling my June achievements and disappointments today… I don’t think I got as much done as you did in June though! Good for you on getting so much done! 🙂

    1. Thanks, Heather! I am THRILLED that potty training is going so well. We might be done having kids so that I only have to go through this one more time. Ha!
