Blog Envy
My wonderful sister sent me a very helpful link yesterday. A mommy blogger was writing all about blogging tips. I had fun reading through all the advice and tips. However, later in the evening I realized that I was in a pretty bad mood. It wasn’t until I was laying in bed that I realized the source of my bad attitude. I was experiencing blog envy.
There are a lot of stay-at-home moms out there who are serious bloggers. Like – making MONEY by blogging bloggers! I read several of them and really truly enjoy it. However, yesterday I was hit with some major blog envy. My goal with this blog isn’t to make money from it. It is to have fun! It is meant to give me something other than Grace to do with myself. I enjoy passing along helpful tips, easy recipes and great documentaries – so that is what I am doing. It is also supposed to be a place for me to update long distance friends and family about what we’ve been up to.
So consider this your warning. You aren’t getting a super organized mommy blog here!  It is just simply me.  Simply Rebekah. 🙂
So what is “Simply Rebekah” up to these days? Well today I pulled out my high school flute and played for the first time in several years. I think I can count on one hand how many times I have played my flute in the last five years. I’m always really impressed that I can still remember all the fingerings for the notes and the B flat scale. I thought Grace would like it. She becomes mesmerized every time that Nate plays his guitar. Well, she cried. I thought maybe she was just getting tired, but she started smiling when I stopped. Crying is not a good sign. Maybe I should practice more than once every three years.

Grace has had several milestones lately. First she woke up one morning and suddenly knew how to stick out her tongue. She does it when you do it to her. It is so cute. She has found her feet, although she doesn’t play with them too much yet. Yesterday she was sucking on her big toe in the tub! She rolled over for the first time! She can move her little body from her belly to her back. Also, she finally pooped after taking a full 3 day sabbatical. That’s my girl!

I miss my trumpet and wish I still had it to play!! Thats so awesome how Grace is growing!! She’ll be walking and talking before you know it!!
I’ve been told that the flute is hard on baby’s ears. Don’t take it personally, that Grace doesn’t care for it. I took lessons from a concert fluist and her daughter didn’t like to listen to her either. : )
I’ve been thinking about getting mine out, problem is that it’s in Ohio! Yikes.
