How to Peel (and cut) a Peach

I was sitting at work years ago and noticed a coworker was staring at me from across the lunch table.

“I have never seen anyone peel and cut a peach like that before.”

“Really???”

Strange or Ordinary – You decide!  Here is how I like to peel a peach!

If you are ready this in your email, you may need to click over to SimplyRebekah.com to watch the video above.

Do you peel your peaches or eat the skin?

You were a big part of my inspiration for this post. I couldn’t belive it when you said you don’t like peaches because of the skin. I never eat the skin!

First of all, why would anyone want to peel a peach ;)? I usually just cut one time around, twist it off the pit and then dice the slices into a bowl. Ooo, craving peaches now :D!

Ew, Miranda. I am NOT a peach skin fan. I don’t like the fuzz. 🙂

My immediate reaction was the same. I cut my peaches as you describe but I don’t peel my peaches. If you run them under water and rub the skin, the fuzz comes off. Then cut them up.the skin is good for you.

I never really noticed that the fuzz comes off when washing peaches, but I tried it today and you were right! Thanks, Kaye.

Love this! I’ve never seen it done this way either. That’s how I peel an orange though, but the cutting/dicing is amazing! I have some peaches at home ripening…can’t wait to try this out.

I feel like I’ve seen this before… but it may have been you. I feel like you eat bananas in an interesting/ingenious way, too.

LOL! Yes, eating my bananas in thirds is pretty strange. I don’t do that very often any more.
