The Best Gifts for Baseball Players of All Ages

Game Day Gear
Let’s start off strong with items that your baseball player will need to have success on game day. Game day gear makes excellent gifts for baseball players.
The basics:
- bats – My son recommends buying new or used bats from JustBats because they have the cheapest prices, quick shipping, and the option to pay a little extra to test the bat for 30 days.
- gloves – Younger players will do fine with a general glove. Older players may want a glove specific to infield or outfield.
- cleats – After buying used cleats for years, my son is wearing new Adidas cleats this season and is really happy with them.
- batting helmet
- batting gloves – Franklin is a popular brand that comes in all sizes.
- baseball bag – The Easton Game Ready bag is an excellent choice for younger players. Older players might apperciate this more deluxe bag. My son started using this bag when he was 13.
Extras:
- sunglasses – X-Tiger sunglasses are a hit with my boys and are for ages 8-14. These sunglasses are a good option for teens and men.
- eye black – This kind is fun because it comes in multiple color options.
- compression arm sleeve
- insulated water bottle – The Under Armor half gallon water bottle has fence hooks. A smaller option would be the 32oz. squeeze water bottle.
- glove locks – These stop the laces on the gloves from loosening up.
- sliding mitt – Protect your hand while sliding to the base.
- bat weight– Improve swinging power by adding extra weight to the bat.
- bat grip – Add some fresh grip and some personality with bat grip tape.
- pine tar – Adds grip to the bat.

Training Gear
Boys that are passionate about the sports will most likely apperciate training gear gifts so they can perfect their baseball skills at home on their own.
- baseballs – My son recommends leather baseballs over pleather because they hold up better. He likes this bucket of 24 baseballs.
- weighted baseballs
- low flight baseballs – for batting practice when you don’t want the ball to go far
- soft low-impact practice balls – for younger kids
- reaction ball – for agility training
- tee – The Franklin Sports youth tee is good for toddlers and kids. The Tanner Tee would be better for older kids, teens, and adults. My boys have used both options at various ages and were happy with both tees.
- hitting & pitching net – My 14 year old uses this for batting and pitching practice.
- strike zone net for pitchers
- rebounding net
- swing trainer – This one is good for ages 14 and under.
- pancake glove – for infield training
- resistance bands – These are good for pitchers and overall arm strength. They come in a variety of options from beginner to elite level.
- baseball glove break-in kit
