A Day in the Life of… 2015 {link-up}

a day in the life of...

Welcome to the 5th Annual “A Day in the Life of…” photography project! The concept is simple, but the results are awesome.  Take one picture every hour, for one day, and an unique hour by hour snapshot of your day is created.

For 5 years, I’ve been taking my pictures on January 18th.  This year the 18th was a Sunday. I hope you enjoy my pictures and I look forward to seeing yours!

A Day in the Life of Rebekah – January 18, 2015

8:00 AM

8:00 AM – I am fresh out of the shower and putting on lotion (affiliate link). Each Sunday the story is the same. There is zero urgency while Nate and I are pressing snooze and showering, but there is intense urgency the last 10 minutes before we walk out the door to head to church.

9:00 AM

9:00 AM – We are in the balcony for church this morning because it is Nate’s Sunday to usher up there. The kids like to come in and listen to the music with us before they go to their class.

10:00 AM

10:00 AM – We are still in the balcony at church. This morning the leadership team burned the church’s mortgage papers because the final payment was made last week. The sermon was about having courage in the fire.

11:00 AM

11:00 AM – We are home for church and the kids are playing with balloons they got at a birthday party last night. Nate left to pick up lunch because the cupboards are bare!

12:00 PM

12:00 PM – Lunch is over and I am searching for a family favorite recipe. I want to add it to our grocery list, but I can’t find it anywhere. Eventually I had to get the recipe off my blog. I should have gone there first!

1:00 PM

1:00 PM – I just got to the grocery store. I plan to take my time since I am all by myself. It is just me, my list, and a good podcast. Heavenly!

2:00 PM

2:00 PM – I got home from the store just in time to lay Noah down for his nap. He is potty training. I hate potty training.

3:00 PM

3:00 PM – The groceries are put away. The kids are in their rooms. I am relaxing and watching YouTube videos on my phone, but it is getting awfully stinky in here. Nate is emptying the diaper pail and he left a bag full of dirty diapers about 10 feet away from my chair. I’m trying to be happy that he is he cleaning up, but I really wish he would move a little faster and get that bag out of here.

4:00 PM Before

4:00 PM – Tomorrow we are having dinner guests over. This will not do. It is time to conquer this table.

5:00 PM

5:00 PM – The table is clean, Noah is starting to call for me from his crib, and I’m tickling this little princess. Truthfully, we argued a bit about this picture. She wanted me to take it, but kept squirming and scooting away. It is time to start supper and I think our empty bellies are starting to mess with our heads.

6:00 PM

6:00 PM – We are having grilled cheese and tomato soup for supper. We look cute and smiley, but it is totally fake. We are a grumpy bunch. Mr. Grumpy declined being in the photo because he wasn’t in the mood. The rest of us gladly faked it. Haha!

7:00 PM

7:00 PM – Nate is giving the kids a bath, and I just finished making salad dressing for tomorrow’s dinner guests.

8:00 PM

8:00 PM – I am tucking Grace in for the night. I am really excited about the silence that is about to fall over the house.

9:00 PM

9:00 PM – I am totally ready for this.

10:00 PM

10:00 PM – Downton Abbey just finished. I am doing some blog work and I plan to watch stupid YouTube videos until I go to bed.

11:00 PM

11:00 PM – Amazingly, I am getting ready for bed. I almost go to bed before 12:00 AM. I’m using my new konjac sponge (affiliate link) to wash my face. It is my newest green product I’m trying out.
