Lovin’ the Library: Not Your Average Color Book

The unique color books from A+ Books played a major role in Grace learning her colors.  These beautiful books are full of color popping photography and clever rhymes written by Sarah L Schuette or Michael Dahl.  The brief text makes them perfect for tiny ones.  Plus each page has fun facts and simple crafts are at the end of each book, which makes them appropriate for older readers also.

Here is a peek into Red:

Check your local library to see if they have your child’s favorite color.  You can also find these books on Amazon for just $7.95 each: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple, Pink, Brown, Black, & White.

Library Tip: These books are located in the children’s nonfiction section.  Don’t miss out on great finds like these that are “hiding” outside of the fiction section!

Do you ever venture outside of the fiction section when picking out books for your little ones?

  1. We go to the library almost every week. When the weather is nice we walk. My 18 month old can’t wait to get out of the stroller and take off to the kids section. My almost 5-year old son usually has a topic or book he is looking for. He often chooses non-fiction. He will say, “I want a book about____.” It’s so exciting that he is already learning that books are a great place to learn about something new!
