As you may remember, I’m a contributing author at Breastfeeding Place – a blog dedicated to encouraging and educating breastfeeding mothers.  Here are two posts I’ve written recently for Breastfeeding Place.

When Allergies Strike Claritin and Breastfeeding

When Allergies Strike: Claritin and Breastfeeding

Do you suffer from allergies?  In this post I explore different medications and their effect on breast milk.  I called Infant Risk at Texas Tech Medical School to find out the latest research on allergy medications.  Continue reading to find out the risks associated with Claritin, Allegra, Zyrtec, Benadryl, Aller Clore, Dimatapp, and decongestants while breastfeeding.

Ho -to Get Paid for Breast Milk Donation

How to Get Paid for Breast Milk Donation

If you have a surplus of breast milk, you can get paid $1.00 per ounce through the Mothers Milk Cooperative in Oregon.  The Cooperative is the first milk bank of it’s kind.  I think their business model is really interesting and I love that mothers can get paid for their milk.  Continue reading to find out how the Mothers Milk Cooperative is different from other milk banks, the minimum donation requirement, and who receives the donor milk.

Have you ever been paid for your breast milk?
