Insane Goals: February 2013 Update {link-up}

I wrote a crazy-long list of goals for this year.  Here is how I did last month on my Insane Goals.

February Accomplishments:

1.  I hosted a wedding show & tell themed Girls Night at my house this past month.  We brought our albums and shared clips from our ceremony videos.  Then we voted on things like best dress, flowers, men’s wear, cake, and get-away car.  The winner of each category got to pick a prize (chocolate, lip gloss, bubble bath, etc).  My hosting goal this year was just once every two months, but this was my second event this year.  It feels good to be ahead with something on my list!

2.  This was another good month of breakfasts for me.  Grace loves eating raisin bran and it is hard to convince her to try something different.  I’m not sure if that is because she really does like cereal best or if the toddler in her is set in her routine and doesn’t want to change it.

3.  I sorted through 2.5 month of photos from 2012, deleted the duds, and uploaded them to Snapfish.

4. Nate & I went had a date night in honor of Valentine’s day.  We also took advantage of some of our gift cards.

5.  Grace: She is continuing to enjoy her daily devotional at nap time.  I’ve been working with her on remembering her letters, but she still isn’t as confident as she once was.

February Disappointments:

1.  This was not a good month for library fines!  The current total for the year is now up to $4.20.

2.  I’ve lost steam on the book Bright from the Start.  Honestly, I’m not sure it is going to get finished.

3.  I haven’t finished a single house goal!!!  I feel like so much of my energy is dedicated to getting through all my tasks for each day (meals, dishes, diapers, laundry) that is hard to find the time or energy for these “extra” projects.

4.  I worked on my eBook twice in February.  I picked two Saturdays in February to work on my eBook at a coffee shop.  It felt so good to finally dedicate some time to this project, but…  This is a huge project.  It is going to take a lot more time than just a couple hours two Saturdays a month.  I have to step it up.

You can see my complete list of goals below.  Plus be sure to add your link below and check out the other blogger’s goals!

  1. Just remember, we’re only 2 months into the year, so there’s plenty of time to play catch up on the things that we still want to accomplish. You’re doing great! I really appreciate you hosting this link-up! It’s kept me focused on our goals, and that’s something I have really struggled with in the past.
