Insane Goals: September Update {link-up}

Another month has past.  Here is how I did with my list of goals last month.

September Accomplishments:

1.  Our hosting goal was met this month when we had family over to celebrate Grace’s 2nd Birthday.  It was only cake and ice cream, but it still required a house cleaning so I say it counts!

2.  I mailed a couple of cards this month.  One was a thank you card that I should have mailed to my grandmother months ago.  She blessed us with several items when she moved into her nursing home and we are sooooo thankful for them!

3.  Our basement flooded.  It wasn’t fun, but it did encourage us to straighten up and throw some things out.  The basement is one of the areas of the house that I want to completely reorganize this year.  It certainly isn’t done enough to be crossed off the list, but it was a good start.

4.  Nate & I went on a date night in honor of our 6th wedding anniversary.  Does it still count even though we took Grace with us???

5.  I had two “nights out” this past month.

September Disappointments:

1.  I ignored my cleaning check list until the very end of the month when we hosted Grace’s party.  I’m glad I have the check list, but I’m looking at it less and less.

2.  Ugh… just read over the list below.  There are so many things I haven’t done yet.  I’m getting tired of writing out all my disappointments here.  I loved reading everyone’s goals that linked up last month.  It made me want to write out a whole new list!  I’m tired of my goals.  haha!

You can see all my progress from this year below.  Plus be sure to add your link below and check out the other blogger’s goals!

Goals for Grace

  • Continue to limit her pacifier use to only in the crib & eventually wean from crib use.
  • Develop a better routine for giving her a daily vitamin & brushing her teeth in the morning.  I just can’t seem to nail down a solid time for this each day.
  • Have Grace drink milk from her sippy cup.
  • Work on her stairs climbing skills so we can get to a place where we feel comfortable with her going up & down the stairs on her own.
  • Have devotions from her “baby” Bible.

Personal & Spiritual Goals

  • Drink more water.
  • Exercise at least a little!
  • Eat more fruit instead of sugar & chocolate.
  • Read daily devotions.
  • Increase personal prayer time & prayer time with Nate.
  • Schedule more time for myself.
  • Schedule monthly date nights with hubby.

Check back next month and I’ll let you know how I’m doing on my Insane List of Goals.

    1. HA! It feels like I barely did a thing. If you look a little closer you’ll notice that most of my accomplishments were pretty small tasks. All the major projects have been ignored for months!

Thanks for linking up! I really enjoyed reading your list.

  2. It’s amazing how even just talking casually to our little ones about hrist can really help Truth to sink in. Buggy now asks me to pray to Jesus for him to not be scared. He knows that Jesus loves him and can help him. He does, however, think that Jesus has a headlight on the front and back and has writing down His sides….

Great job on your list this month!
