The 200 Sit-Ups Challenge

On November 16, 2009 I started the 200 Sit-ups challenge.  I found out about it from a Facebook status that my cousin Sarah posted.  The goal of the challenge is to be able to do 200 sit-ups (crunches actually) at the end of a 6 week conditioning period.  All it takes is about 30 minutes a week to follow their program.  Six weeks later and you have become a crunching machine!

I asked my Facebook friends to join me so that I would stay motivated.  We started the program on November 16th.  It is now 12 weeks later and I am on week 4… I think.  I don’t know what my problem is, but I just can’t seem to remember to do these stupid crunches!

I have never been a fan of exercise or dieting.  However, I just had a baby 4.5 months ago and my body simply doesn’t look like how I would like it to.  So, I thought this was a perfect way to take some baby steps towards a healthier me.  Well maybe these steps are too small because I just don’t seem to be getting anywhere!

You can learn more about the 200 Sit-ups Challenge by going here.  They also have a 200 Squats Challenge and 100 Push Ups Challenge.  Maybe someday I’ll get my butt in gear enough to conquer all three!  Let me know if you are motivated to try it out and then send some of that motivation my way!  I am hoping that with the help of my Pocket Docket that I’ll be able to start up the program again this Monday and actually stick with it!
