The Just Clean Something Challenge {day 30}
Welcome to the third update of the Just Clean Something Challenge! I made it my goal to clean at least one thing in my house every day in July. Let’s see how I did.
{day 21}
Swept & Mopped the Laundry Room & Half Bath
It is shocking how quickly I was able to sweep and mop those two rooms. I didn’t bother with picking up trash cans or moving laundry baskets, but a clean floor that is still dirty under a trash can is better than a completely dirty floor!
{day 22}
Mopped Kitchen
I don’t want to talk about how long it had been since I last mopped the kitchen. Nope. Not talking about it.
{day 23}
Swept Dining Room
I canned pickles today and did not want to be bothered with a cleaning task, but I pushed through and did something anyway.
{day 24}
Swept Half Bath & Wiped Down Sinks in Full Bath
I am counting down the days until this challenge is over. Seriously, I am so over this.
{day 25}
Cleaned Fabric Lamp Shades
I used a lint roller to clean my fabric lamp shades. It is crazy how dusty they were. Today I also got the best quote from from a Facebook fan on my nightly “Roll Call.”
I didn’t kill anyone… that’s pretty freaking awesome for the day we had!
Mama, I hear ya! There are just some days when I feel like I’m going to lose my ever-loving mind. Three cheers to you for making it through one of those days!
{day 26}
Wiped Down Kitchen Appliances
Today we took a short rode trip to a wedding about three hours away. I am pretty proud of myself for cleaning something before we left the house.
{day 27}
Vacuumed Living Room & Cleaned Vacuum
Vacuuming is not fun. Cleaning the vacuum is even less fun.
{day 28}
Dusted Noah’s Room
I literally did this with a sleepy baby on my hip. I whipped around the room quick before I put Noah down for the night. Why do I always wait until the end of the day to do my cleaning?
{day 29}
Cleaned Half Bath & Put Away Half the Clean Laundry
Through out this challenge I haven’t been sharing the days that I do laundry, clean dishes, or tidy the kitchen. Things like that always seem to get done (unlike cleaning toilets or mopping floors!) so they don’t count. However, putting away the clean laundry is a huge struggle for me!!! I didn’t even put it all away. Geesh.
{day 30}
Reorganized & Cleaned the Attic
Yes, I am equally as shocked as you are that I cleaned my attic. We have friends that are storing some things up there while they look for a new house. This was the perfect motivation for me to reorganize a bit.
{Thoughts}
I can’t believe this challenge is over. As much as I dreaded every single day, the end truly did sneak up on me. I messed up my daily count way back on day 10 and on July 31st I thought I had one more day left.
I just looked back at all the tasks I accomplished this month and I am quite pleased with myself. There is no doubt that I did more this month than I have in a long time.
What did I learn from this challenge? What is my plan moving forward? You can read all about that in my Just Clean Something Challenge {final thoughts} post, which is coming soon!
Did you complete the challenge? What is the most impressive thing you cleaned?
Congratulations on finishing your challenge! It inspired me to clean something I’ve been putting off for a while. I cleaned out all of our vents and changed the filters. They get quite messy since they’re on the floor.
