Stitch Fix: A Frugal Girl’s Honest Review

December 14, 2017 by Rebekah Hoffer 14 Comments

Is Stitch Fix a good fit for someone who is frugal?

It feels like all of the cool kids on the internet have been doing Stitch Fix for years, but I have never been brave enough to try it myself. Is Stitch Fix frugal enough for me? I had my doubts. This post is not sponsored by Stitch Fix, but it does contain affiliate links. If you schedule through my link I'll earn a small commission at no cost to you. All opinions are my own.  Why did I finally push my doubts aside to try Stitch Fix? They are running a promotion that waives the usual $20 styling fee! Which means I could try Stitch Fix completely free!! (Unless I decided to buy any of the clothes. Duh.) What is Stitch Fix? Stitch Fix … [Read more...]

I Experienced a Miracle!

A Story of God Providing

This post contains affiliate links. My Miracle When Noah was born in 2012, we received a bill for several hundred dollars that wasn't covered by our insurance. Someone at the hospital suggested that I request a deduction in the bill, and we ended up needing to pay only $10! Nate and I are thankful for our insurance coverage, but it comes with a pricey premium and a pretty steep deductible. Paying nearly $1,000 (for a bill that we had reduced to … [Read more...]

I stopped scrapbooking. This is what I do instead.

November 5, 2016 by Rebekah Hoffer 19 Comments

I finally found the solution to time consuming scrapbooks and photo books. Chatbooks to the rescue!

Before digital photography, scrapbooks were the only option! I have book after book of printed photos stuck behind plastic protective sheets along with handwritten captions and saved mementos. Oh my!!  Soon I found myself not doing anything with my photographs. And that is just plain sad.  Then I discovered Chatbooks photo books. *cue the angels … [Read more...]
