Insane Goals: February Update
Another month has past.  Here is how I did with my list of goals last month.
February Accomplishments:
1.  Nate & I were successful in accomplishing our hosting goal for this month.
2. Â I started reading to Grace out of a children’s story book Bible during her breakfast or lunch. Â She loves it and won’t let me forget! Â At breakfast she usually won’t take a bite until I get the Bible out.
3. Â Nate and I cleaned that attic! Â It took us less than an hour to sweep the floor and reorganize all the boxes. Â It felt good to be able to cross that off the list!
4. Â Nate & I decided that I get one night a week when I can plan on having some “Me Time!” Â I started that this month, but it kind of fizzled out half way through. Â I will not give up on this goal though!
5. Â We had a date night this month! Â We went to the movies and saw True Grit.
6. Â I actually exercised this month! Â One week I took a bike ride. Â One week I went on walks with Grace. Â One week I did leg lifts on the living room floor! Â They are all small steps, but it is better than not moving at all!!!
February Disappointments:
1.  Again… I didn’t send a single card in February, but I also didn’t have any immediate family birthdays.
2. Â I’ve pretty much abandoned my daily devotional book. Â It just wasn’t keeping my interest. Â I’d love to hear your recommendations if you have one you love.
3.  Every time I work with Grace on drinking milk, it ends in frustration.
4. Â Eat more fruit instead of sugar… Â It was Valentine’s Day… Â There was chocolate… Â Enough said.
5. Â I bought the nails so we could hang pictures, but… Â no pictures are hung.

- Have Grace drink milk from her sippy cup.  She currently loves drinking water from it, but isn’t impressed with the frozen breast milk I’ve been giving her.
- Work on her stairs climbing skills so we can get to a place where we feel comfortable with her going up & down the stairs on her own.
- Have devotions from her “baby” Bible.
Personal & Spiritual Goals
- Drink more water.
- Exercise at least a little!
- Eat more fruit instead of sugar & chocolate.
- Read daily devotions.
- Increase personal prayer time & prayer time with Nate.
- Schedule more time for myself.
- Schedule monthly date nights with hubby.
Each month I will check in and let you  know how I’m coming on my insanely long list of goals. I hope that with you keeping me accountable that I’ll be able to accomplish great things this year!

I love your goal list! I have some larger goals that I use on the DayZero project (http://dayzeroproject.com/) but each month I break it down into smaller goals that I need to get done- like finishing a book, keeping up with my yoga, scheduling a get together etc.
I think it’s a great idea to post on your blog- it does keep us accountable! Some of my goals seem silly to admit though- like learning SEO or “establishing my blog,” but it’s on the list!
I look forward to hearing about your progress!
Ruby, posting my goals on my blog was one of the best decision I ever made! It adds to my monthly motivation so much!!
what a great idea..i LOVE it…and will steal the idea and make my own list…
btw followed your guest room link from a slob comes clean and am now reading the old posts..
Celina, read all you want! 🙂 Honestly, making my list of goals public on my blog has done AMAZING things for my motivation. I’ve never written out my goals before, but now I understand why it is so highly recommended. Steal away, girl. Steal away.
